While conducting a routine mid-air refueling mission as part of military training, a US aircraft with five servicemen on board crashed and crashed into the Mediterranean Sea. All five soldiers on board were killed.
A search and rescue operation was immediately launched, including the involvement of nearby US military aircraft and ships.
More information about the personnel involved is not provided.
The cause of the training incident is currently under investigation.
