The idea, inspired by the bedroom and nature, has been successful with customers, orders are growing

You had a good time, you worked your way up to the position of head of the team. Why did you decide to start your own business?
I searched in vain on the Czech market for a blanket made of high-quality fabric with an attractive and tasteful design. I started looking for ways to make them into my own pot. I wanted to fall asleep with memories of picking blueberries in the forest and watching the flight. I got the inspiration for the first namty from the walks in the Vysoin. And when it was successful, from there it was just a click to create your own characters. A layer was created that distinguishes high-quality author’s fabrics with rune-drawn motifs reminiscent of the beauty of the products.

How do you remember your arrests?
Actually, I was very glad, even though considering that I had Marianka’s son at the time, it took a lot of effort. In the evenings, I went to software courses so that I could prepare motifs for printing myself, during the day I ordered templates and other suppliers, and in the spare time I packed orders for clients.

When were you sure you could start your business?
About half a year later. There was a lot of talk about the logo, so I decided to invest in its development. Investments of around 200,000 Kl went mainly into photography, brand strategy, copywriting, copywriting and coding. Thanks to my experience from a digital agency, I managed to build an e-shop on the Shoptet platform myself, and my brother is in charge of the graphics.

Was she fiddling with the investment? How is the turnover and meziron growth?
Yes, she fiddled, but the biggest investment is the regular purchase of clothes, and no, I reached a tipping point, it took two years. We crossed the magical turnover threshold of K 1 million right after the first year of business. We are very satisfied with each interim order increase of no more than 50 percent.

What was the hardest part of your entrepreneurial journey?
It is certainly not easy to combine family and business. But I’m glad I decided on this path, because it’s a role model for my children. And as a working mom and a woman who fulfills her dreams, a hunter who loves food and did anything to protect it. This is how you can recognize quality, that is, minimalistic and tangible.

Is there anything that surprised you during the business, did you miss it?
I was surprised how difficult it is to find a supplier who will meet my expectations about the quality of the material and a similar view on durability. I always look for it with us, and when I don’t succeed, I look at the neighbors.

Where did you find the supplier in the end?
We were looking for a supplier with very high quality cotton and the possibility of printing. Cotton is imported from Pakistan in its raw state, processed and printed in the US. Surprisingly, we found this supplier very quickly and have been working with him ever since. It is a large Czech company which, as one of the few, closed textile factories. We have quilts for French money from Italy, given that this dimension has a tradition in Central Europe and we do not produce quilts like this.

Is there anything that pleasantly surprised you?
I am very pleasantly surprised by how one of our first motifs, Borvka, is still leading the orders. The general motifs from the sale in the spoils arouse the same feelings of sadness and fond memories in me.

Who is the author of the pattern on povleen? And how do you look for them?
Patterns on the floor first arise in my head. I see a color palette and sometimes a concrete pattern of how it should look. According to my vision, I will choose a suitable designer whose work will fit into my idea of Finnish design. Therefore, it is a joint work, where I do not have a free hand in the execution of the motif on a specific artist, so that he can convey both my vision and his handwriting on the canvas.

I look for authors based on their portfolio, but after the first meeting I often decide on a set of shared values and approach. So far, I have been completely satisfied with my work, both for gifted amateurs and professional makeup artists with many years of experience.

Where does the bed go?
We live in the Czech Republic in Mlad Boleslav. Operate as a social company, i.e. employ people who have problems finding and long-term work due to health reasons.

What do you do that suffers?
I have the most satisfied and returning customer who, after touching the product, falls in love with how soft and beautiful it is. For me, this is confirmation that our bedding is of material and aesthetic quality.

Every positive review and kind message is proof for me that the brand has its place in the hearts of customers. I suffer because the market is a little behind in the selection of quality and local materials for our products.

What do you consider most important in business and what would you recommend to new entrepreneurs?
Find capable people for areas in which you do not excel yourself. For us, it is a textile technologist, graphic artist, photographer, advertising specialist, strategist, and my colleague Petra, who takes care of customer service and running the e-shop, is a huge support for me. The entire team, made up of experts in various fields, is sure to bring more than one petite entrepreneur. (smile)

Is what you can imagine doing many years from now relevant in business? Do you have a new concept in mind?
Urit is very happy to imagine it. Motives for sales are so inexhaustible and I would like to devote myself to expanding to foreign markets. In addition to diversifying the portfolio with new household products and high-quality linens, this also means researching new materials and technologies and, in the future, even producing our own fabrics.
